On Quizizz for Work, Lessons act as engaging and interactive presentations. A Lesson is a combination of questions and slides that contain text, images, videos, and more. You can read more about creating Lessons by clicking here

There are two ways in which you can host a Lesson; live and asynchronous. Let's take a closer look at both these options.

Hosting a Live Lesson

Hosting a Lesson live enables you to conduct it in real-time. Here are the steps you can follow to do this.

  1. Select the Lesson you would like to host
  2. Click on the 'Start Live Session' option

  3. Review and modify the Primary and Gamification settings as per your requirements. To learn more about game settings for Lessons, click here

  4. Once you've made the necessary customizations, click on 'Continue'
  5. If you would like to assign the quiz to any of your Groups, select the Group(s) from the list displayed
    1. You can also click on 'New Group' to create a new Group of participants, or click on 'Manage Groups' to modify your existing Groups
    2. To learn more about Groups and their benefits, click here

  6. Click on 'Start Now'

If you assign the Lesson to your participants via Groups, they will automatically receive a link through which they can join the Lesson.

If you did not assign the Lesson via Groups, you can share the join code displayed on your screen. They can then visit https://quizizz.com/pro/join and enter the code there.

Alternatively, you can click on 'Copy Link' and share the copied link with your participants. Your participants also have the option to use their devices and scan the QR code shown on your screen to join the Lesson.

Once all your participants have joined the Lesson, click on 'Start' to begin the activity. Participants will be able to join the Lesson for as long as the join code is active.

At the end of the Lesson, you can click on 'View Reports' to view a detailed report on your Lesson. You will also be able to find this report in the 'Reports' section on the left navigation pane.

Hosting an Asynchronous Lesson

Hosting a Lesson asynchronously allows participants to engage with the Lesson at their own convenience. You can also set a start time and deadline for the Lesson. Here are the steps you can follow to host a Lesson asynchronously, or as an assigned activity.

  1. Select the Lesson you would like to host
  2. Click on the 'Assign Activity' option

  3. Review and modify the Primary and Gamification Assessment settings as per your requirements. To learn more about game settings for Lessons, click here

  4. Once you've made the necessary customizations, click on 'Continue'
  5. If you would like to assign the Lesson to any of your Groups, select the Group(s) from the list displayed
    1. You can also click on 'New Group' to create a new Group of participants, or click on 'Manage Groups' to modify your existing Groups
    2. To learn more about Groups and their benefits, click here

  6. Click on 'Start Now'

You will now be led to the Report for your assigned activity. If you assign the Lesson to your participants via Groups, they will automatically receive a link through which they can join the Lesson.

If you did not assign the Lesson via Groups, you can share the join code displayed on your Report with your participants. They can then visit https://quizizz.com/pro/join and enter the join code there. Alternatively, you can also share the link displayed below the join code on your Report.

Participants will be able to join the Lesson for as long as the join code is active. The Report for your activity will be regularly updated with insights into your participants' responses.

Click on 'End' once all your participants have completed the Lesson. Or, allow the Lesson to end automatically when the deadline arrives. Once the Lesson is complete, your Report will provide you with detailed information on your participants' performance.

Note:

  • Before you click on the 'Start Live Session' or 'Assign Activity' options, you can click on 'Preview' to review the slides in presentation mode and prepare for the activity
