Automatically Generate Quizzes with AI

You can now automatically generate a quiz from your existing documents or text with the help of AI on Quizizz for Work.

How It Works

All you need to do is upload a PDF / PPT / DOC file to Quizizz. Once your file is processed, a set of quiz questions will be automatically created for you based on the contents of your file. 

In case you already have a file with questions in it, you also have the option of uploading the file or pasting its contents into the AI-enabled generator. This will automatically convert your questions into a quiz. 

Note that all the questions generated by AI on Quizizz for Work will follow the Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) format with four options, one of which will be the correct answer. Once the quiz is generated, you are free to edit it completely.

We recommend uploading files that are at least one page long to ensure that a unique set of questions is generated with no repetitions. Files that extend beyond 12 thousand words in length (or approximately 24 pages) may not be processed successfully. 

Creating an AI-Generated Quiz

To generate a quiz automatically, follow these steps:

1. Select 'Create' from the left navigation pane 
2. Click on the 'Create a quiz from any text' option
   
   
   
   
3. If you have copied the text you would like to input, paste it into the designated field 
4. Alternatively, you can switch to the 'Upload a file tab' and select the PDF / PPT / DOC file from your computer that you would like to convert into a quiz. You can also drag and drop the file into the window 
5. Click on the drop-down menu to select the number of questions you would like to generate 
   
   
   
   
6. Click on 'Generate Questions' 

Once the processing is complete, a set of questions will be automatically generated from your file or text. You will also be shown how much of your content was successfully scanned to create this quiz. 

You can now edit the quiz by adding, deleting, or reordering the questions, modifying the points awarded, etc. Once you have made the necessary changes, click on 'Save Quiz'. Give your quiz a name and select its language. You can also choose to add a cover image.

Click on 'Save & Continue'. Your automatically generated quiz can now be found under 'My Library' and is ready to be hosted as a live quiz or assigned as an activity.  

Importing Questions Into a New Quiz With AI

With the AI quiz generator, you can convert an existing list of questions into a quiz. You can do this by uploading a PDF / PPT / DOC file that contains the questions, or by pasting its contents into the generator. 

Here are the steps you can follow to import questions with AI:

1. Click on 'Create' on the left navigation pane 
2. Select the 'Import' option 
3. Click on 'Import from any doc using AI' 
   
   
   
   
4. If you have copied the questions and answers you would like to input, paste the content into the designated field 
5. Alternatively, you can switch to the 'Upload a file' tab and select the PDF / PPT / DOC file from your computer that contains the questions. You can also drag and drop the file into the window 
6. Click on 'Generate Questions' 

Once the content has been processed, you will be able to see all of the questions imported into a new quiz. Edit the quiz as per your requirements and click on 'Save'. 

Importing Questions Into Existing Quizzes with AI

You can also use the AI quiz maker to import questions from files or text into existing quizzes in your library. Here's how: 

1. Select 'My Library' from the left navigation pane 
2. Select the quiz into which you would like to import questions and click on 'Edit Quiz' 
3. Click on the 'Use AI to import questions' banner at the top of your screen. Alternatively, you can click on the 'AI Quiz converter' option from the panel on the right
   
   
   
   
4. Upload the file that contains the questions you want to import, or copy and paste its contents, and click on 'Generate Questions'

The AI-generated questions will be added to your existing questions in the quiz, and you can edit them as required. 

Creating Questions in Existing Quizzes with AI 

AI on Quizizz also offers you the option to create and add new questions to a quiz that are modeled after its existing questions. Here are the steps you can follow to do this: 

1. Select 'My Library' from the left navigation pane 
2. Select the quiz in which you would like to create new questions and click on 'Edit Quiz' 
   
   
   
   
3. Hover between any two questions to find and click on the 'Add Using AI' option 
   
   

A Multiple Choice question will now be generated. You can choose to add this question to the quiz, regenerate it, or discard it. Once you add the question, you can also go ahead and edit it.

Note:

• You can only upload one file at a time 
• The supported file formats are PDF, PPT, and DOC 
• Files that contain fewer tables and images are ideal as these elements may not be processed as successfully as plain text
